About: Capt.(Ret) Nathan Nelson served as the Director of Intelligence, 22d Special Tactics Squadron when he was catastrophically injured by enemy fire on his third deployment to Afghanistan. Despite being left a quadriplegic, Nathan continues to work in the defense and veteran communities, while enjoying time with his family. He is currently working for Wild Response, connecting service members, veterans, and their families to combat the illegal wildlife trade in Africa.
