#30 | Max Martini | Actor/Veteran Advocate | Sgt. Will Gardner, Saving Private Ryan & 13 Hours
Excellent chat with Max Martini about his career and his continued advocacy for veterans; including his recently released project, Sgt. Will Gardner. Sgt. Will Gardner follows a troubled Iraq War veteran struggling to reintegrate into society sets out on a cross-country journey with the hope of reuniting with his young son. The cast is stellar, from Gary Sinise to Robert Patrick to Max himself. Check it out on Amazon today!
We hit on a ton of topics from Max’s USO tour that inspired Sgt. Will Gardner, his role in Saving Private Ryan, to how he auditioned for David Mamet for his role in Redbelt (cult classic ju jitsu movie, check it out!). Max comes from a long line of LEO’s and military members, including his mom that was in law enforcement. Max also supports several charities, including Warriors Heart, the Gary Sinise Foundation, and Higher Ground USA. Sgt. Will Gardner will not be the last venture for Max to help the veteran community, he’s in it for the long haul. Thanks for joining me Max. Also, a shout out to my good friends at Bottle Breacher and Combat Flags!
PS: I’m a big fan of all the charities, especially Warriors Heart. Check out the podcast Original Freedom from the creators of Warriors Heart.
